Prior to changing protocols within the ZeusVPN app, ensure you disconnect first. You can modify and switch the VPN protocol by disabling the “Automatic Protocol Selection” option.

It’s important to note that the VPN protocol you select can affect your connection’s performance. Be sure to choose the suitable protocol when connecting to a VPN server. While ZeusVPN suggests the automatic protocol for optimal settings, you have the flexibility to manually switch to a different protocol if needed.

Protocol Guide:

WireGuard (Recommended):

WireGuard offers a swift and secure VPN connection for browsing and streaming.

UDP:

Usually faster than TCP, making it a good choice for streaming, gaming, and downloads.

TCP:

Try this if UDP cannot connect or your network restricts VPN traffic. It may be slower than UDP, particularly on connections with packet loss.

IKEv2:

IKEv2 is one of the fastest VPN protocols, providing a stable connection, and is usually used for streaming and downloading.

Want to know how to change between protocols? Just follow these simple steps for an easy and smooth process:

• Click the Hamburger icon (≡) from the top right of the ZeusVPN app.



• Click ⚙️ Preferences.



• Select the Protocols tab.



• Click Manual Protocol Selection to change your protocol selection.



• A warning will appear; click Proceed to continue.



• Choose your desired protocol from the drop-down menu.



• Upon selection, your protocol will be successfully changed.

Connect to Fallback: This option will connect you to the next best available option if you cannot connect with your preferred protocol.
