Before switching between protocols in the ZeusVPN app, make sure to disconnect first. You can view and modify the VPN protocol by turning off the “Automatic Protocol Selection” option.

The type of VPN protocol you choose significantly affects the performance and stability of your connection. Therefore, it’s essential to select the correct protocol when connecting to a VPN server. ZeusVPN recommends the automatic protocol as it selects the most suitable connection setting for you. However, feel free to switch between different protocols if the automatic protocol option doesn’t work for you.

Protocol Guide:

Wireguard (Recommended) :

Wireguard offers a swift and secure VPN connection for browsing and streaming.

UDP:

UDP is primarily employed for streaming and downloading, offering a fast VPN connection with moderate encryption.

TCP:

TCP is more reliable but slightly slower, typically used for web browsing.

IKEv2:

IKEv2 is one of the fastest VPN protocols, providing a stable connection, and is usually used for streaming and downloading.

Wondering how to switch between protocols? Follow the instructions below:

• Tap the Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left corner.



• Tap ⚙️ Preferences.



• In Preferences, tap Advanced.



• Tap Connection protocol.



• A pop-up will appear, tap Proceed.



• Choose the Protocol of your choice from the list.



• Upon selection, your protocol will be successfully changed.

Connect to Fallback: This option will connect you to the next best available option if you cannot connect with your preferred protocol. Once done, return to the Locations tab and connect with your desired location.
